Just read through this thing again too, and I have to retract a previous statement. Not all 3rd gens had 10 bolts. Some got a 9bolt oddball rear and others got a Dana 44. Both are fairly uncommon...

Yep, I wish we had the larger 10 bolts. I wouldn't have to save up 2500 for an s60 or 9" if we had the beefy ones. Sadly though, just like with the 4l60e gm gave us equipment that can't even handle...
