Next up will be subframe connectors. I've put those off for far too long lol.

Along with that will come the need to modify my already custom 3 inch exhaust.

I've got a handy solution for that.

I'm going to put a factory exhaust back on.

And run a boost activated cutout to open about 10psi.

Sleeper.

So. When I had the Log header on the passenger side, I didn't have an issue with the header bolts backing out. Also it was a pita to use the locks and clips from the stage 8 bolts.

Now with the header on the drivers side replaced, they're backing out now and I can't find the retainers and clips.

Here's where Stage 8 Fasteners come in for the win. I call them up trying to cross reference the 60v6 bolt kit for one of they're parts packs (clips and retainers only). I mention the situation of not needing them at first and not being able to find them now.

So she says, just give me your address and I'll send them out in the morning for free.

Can't recommend their customer service enough. This all took less than 2 minutes and I was honestly just trying to get the cross reference so I could buy the right replacement kit for $15.

We should have a vendor review sub-forum. For big name vendors and little mom and pop shops.

There is a review section you can post into. I believe that is where alot of that kind of stuff is.

Finally an update.

October 13th is a meet at Ft Desoto park in Florida. Last one was 6 years ago and I missed it and it was a huge blast. We've got a number of thirdgens coming, including a possible appearance by Turdbird. I know it's pretty short notice but any are welcome.

So I've started some little stuff in preparation. No way do a new windshield before the meet though so I'll have to draw attention elsewhere LOL.

When I wrapped the crossover I bought a 50 foot roll of the DEI Titanium wrap. Needless to say there was extra.

So I rewrapped the 90 bend before the turbo, and the downpipe out to where it goes under the car. Matches the turbo blanket nicely.

A couple progress pics. Also spent a good amount of time with simple green and some shop towels cleaning areas I have never cleaned in the engine bay lol.

Today I'm tackling plasti-dip removal on the front bumper.

Was a little thin, so won't peel off like it should.

Google says wd40 or pb blaster.

Ding!

Pb blaster for the win. Spray it on, let sit for 5 minutes, and it wipes off with a shop towel. Clean with dawn after and boom.

In progress. One section at a time.

Got 1/2 of the bumper done, then ran out of shop towels. So onto the next project.

Eureka! I may have figured out the low oil pressure reading. It may not actually be low.

Stay tuned for an update on that.
