I bet its still gonna be easier than the slp lid and it should be easier to get a straight shot to the throttle body my tube kind of goes in a loop from the lid to throttle body bc that's the only way it will work with the tube

I have just the stock one right now, if I don't get kdms then I was gunna cut out the fins and paint it. But I was really hoping to find one straight piece of 3.5" rubber hose to go directly from lid to tb but it doesn't exist. So I think I'll need that stupid flexible stuff from pepboys and two 4-3.5" couplings

They dont have rubber hose like that but like people said you can use pipe. But if you get that hose and the couplers it does look pretty good still and yours will just be able to go straight to the throttle body because you have a 2002 and it has the straight throttle body. Lucky me i got the 98 and got the angled throttle body so mines a little more rigged lol

Very true. Next order of guidance needed. I purchased a indiglow gauge overlay a while back and now that my cars in storage I had time to take the gauge cluster out.

Getting the overlay on without breaking a needle will be scary enough, but my main concern is how do I hook up the electrical?

The overlay has 1 female connection on it, and then there's another piece that is a lil box that has a twist knob that I assume is a dimmer and then 2 wires coming out on each side. One is a wire with 4 of the male counterparts all in a row so I'm assuming its just extensions. And on the other side of the electrical box is just a black and red wire in which I also assume you splice in somewhere and that's your power and ground.

My question is what the heck do you splice it into. I have a digital gauge so there's really no wires behind my cluster. Just a electrical pin plug thing.

Any help would be massively appreciated. I've been wanting to install this for a long time. I already have white overlays on headlights and hvac with blue leds so this will match rather nicely.

When I had those gauges in my cavaliers I always wired it into the headlight switch so they turn on with the parking and headlights. And yes that extra knob should change the gauge color form green to blue, some have more colors just depends on what you bought.

Oh it changes colors? I thought it was just a dimmer. Green would be cool hut blues what I want. If I wire it into the headlights near the headlight switch will it turn on with the automatic headlights or is that too far before the automatic part.

Got em on with no needle breakage! Now just to figure out wiring

On a side note, referring to disabling automatica dusk sensitive headlights. People say solder a wire where the photosensitive resistor is. Where is this located. I can't find it for the life of me, and what size wire etc. Anyone who has done this that could shed some advice would be awesome.

I've read it a few times. You either jank the radio out or lift up the upper dash. I just put an aftermarket stereo in and it took alot of effort to get it in perfectly so I rather not go that route.

Anyone know how tough it is to lift up the upper dash on a 02 camaro? Anything to look out for and will I have any trouble getting it back down?
