Yeah, the thing about me is that I can't keep a car stock. Even if it's just upgrading the sound or the lights, I have to do something to my cars to make it mine.

My Cutlass also has those Miniquads that the Camaro got. I'm not sure for what car those miniquads were intended for, but they are a horrible joke. I upgraded mine to HID and they perform good. They're not the best since the light scatters everywhere and has a bit of glare but for the situation they are perfect. I have yet to come up with a solution for it but all in due time.

As far as those aftermarket 98-02 lights go, they're utter junk. I was better off using the PNP kit on the stock headlights. The only reason I haven't taken them off is because I really like the CCFL lights. I know it's a bit "ricey" but since the housing is chrome as is stock, it doesn't look that out of place. I'll see if I can snap some pics of them in the daylight.

The problem with the lights are the projectors in them. As most of us already know, Spyder/Spec-D/Sonar/Whatever they call themselves can't make a proper light to save their company.

Long story short, this is how the light pattern looks. This is not my picture, but a google search found someone on LS1Tech that had the same issue I have.

Turns out that the projector is supposed to be "tuned" for a Code E light pattern, which looks like this:

In real life, it sucks. Now I have to change the projector so I'll be doing a "proper" retrofit.

Well I'm getting some projectors from TRS for the housings so Ill probably do a right up if there's interest in it.

I always wanted to do this but felt it was too expensive. Now the projectors are between $100-$250 so it's not as bad as it was before. I remember seeing projectors for $500 on TRS at one point.

I'll do a write up then. Just remember it does involve your home oven to open the lights.

The H1 fits in place of the miniquads?
