So. I've been looking at a 2000 Civic Si. My favorite gen of Civic.

And with that, if/when I do get it, RWD swap is happening on either the Civic or the Accord.

I've already figured out how to simplify and greatly reduce the cost of doing so.

Once I find a suitible IRS scrap car candidate, the entire IRS will get chopped out of the car, mounts, frame and all. And will be modified in such a way to weld the entire IRS and structure into the Honda. Making the geometry and mounting much simpler.

There will still be geometry to be figured out, but doing it this way will greatly reduce the cost and difficulty compared to starting from scratch.

Putting the engine and Trans in are child's play. I'll have to cut a trans tunnel and weld it in. Though the overall goal is to leave the interior/exterior appearing completely stock and original.

Oh I'm doing it. I've been dreaming of this project since high school. I'll document everything.

It'll also alter the CG and make the handling better. It already handles well, the Accord. The CD5 was one of the better generations in that department. I need good tires and rims and to lower it to make it work to its full potential. But it's not a race car right now so it doesn't really matter at this point.

But yea, pretty sure I just decided to do it to the Accord.
