Default Maintenance Day - 1993 Firebird

Spent a good part of yesterday working on my 1993 Firebird, 3.4L.
Installed new water pump, thermostat, ignition control module, MSD coil packs, Taylor wires, NGK plugs, and an air filter for good measure.
My coolant leak has stopped and it is running great once again.

Oh, and I changed the oil and filter as well. 186,000 miles now.

Very true. It's amazing that the original water pump made it 21 years and 186,000 miles.

The hardest part was removing the power steering bracket. The bolts were frozen. Broke two 13mm sockets in the process. 1 snap-on and 1 craftsman. And I did soak the bolts all week long.

Thanks guys.
It had an coolant leak from the water pump weep hole and a wicked misfire while driving in heavy rain.
All better now. It poured here yesterday and it drove like a champ.

It sure did. I've owned this car for 8 years this month and it has never let me down. I do all of the work myself.
My friends 2014 Buick had to be towed to the dealer a few days ago, yet my 1993 Firebird starts every time. Lol.
