Default My 3.1L/3400 hybrid build

Yea im convinced that the hybrid route is what my car needs.

So far I have all the parts i should need except for the custom pushrods, the block machine work and pistons..exc, and a 3.4L rwd alt bracket.

Ive got the 3.1L engine out and the pistons out of it. Im preping the block right now in hopes that I will get it off to the machine shop after the new year for a bore, hone, new pistons hung and so forth.

I already worked the heads a little and cleaned them up. I have some ls6 yellow springs that i got for basically next to nothing but am unsure if i will use them yet.

The goal of this is to get into the 12 flat area or even some high 11's. I went 12.88 with those iron boat anchors so im hoping that this is a doable goal. Ill keep updating at the build continues.

Update. First time racing the hybrid set up. Nailed a best of 12.45 at 111mph durring 4 passes. I linked the 12.49 at 110mph video. 13 psi. Soft launches..very soft. And a tune that was very conservitive. Its got potential.

Well 21 passes later at 13 psi and the car is still running strong. Soft launches give me great Rts at the track and to have a solid 12.50-12.60 car right now is keeping me happy. Love the hybrid and it surely has more potential when i cross that road.

I really haven't tuned it more since that first day at the track in May. I wanted a consistent car this year and once the points races are over at the end of august i will tune more aggressive and start to knock away at the 11s, or at least give it a try, especially when its nice and cool and not 90*s out each weekend like it has been when i run the 12.50s-60's.

That's great you got it set up just right for the season. I am sure that helps keep it fun.
