Default Ebay OBD2 BT Adpater

I purchased this going on couple years ago from ebay. its a cheap 12 dollar Bluetooth OBD2 Adapter.

I use it with an android app called Torque. I love this app and I've had very good success with this adapter as well. its not super fast but it works very well. In the future may invest in a better adapter but until then this works great for me.

Its helped me find problems with all my vehicles as well as other people's. I keep it in my car at all times and plugged up with no problems.

The only problem i've found with my version is the pins aren't "fixed" in place. I had to take it apart to glue them in place so i can quit pulling them back out with a pair of small pliers.

To get it apart cut holes for the screw driver to get to the screws.

push all the pins where they need to be and super glue them in place, then reassemble

Hang onto that adapter. They don't make them like that anymore. No really, they don't. Almost all of them will not work for the 96-05 GM or Ford cars because they have been eliminating the parts for the older protocols. Most only support the CAN protocol now. Don't believe the claims of coverage. I recently bought 4 of them, all different and from different sellers, and none worked for my 98 Trans Am. They were all missing parts. One looked exactly like yours. These days, only BAFX sells cheaper ones that still work.

good to know Gary. I see that the ones that look identical are worded differently and they have v1.5 on most descriptions.
