Yay new CV axles!

Fuck. Blown intermediate shaft bearing and seals. Dealership special order item. $80 for the bearing and 2 seals from Honda.

Even tried to cross reference the bearing number and nada.

Go figure lol.

It's been like this at least since I bought the car. I pulled the cv axle and intermediate shaft in one piece when I swapped the engine so I never noticed.

Looks like the Camaro gets delivery driver duty this week. I spent all I had on the axles LOL

The seal that's supposed to be attached to the bearing to keep the grease in, was impregnated into the outer seal. The other one was just hanging out in the blown seal. No lube whatsoever

The orings were shot under the rocker assembly for sure. Job was super easy. They had at least 2 cracks per oring. As long as you don't pull the bolts all the way out, the rocker assembly stays together. If you pull them out it makes a mess. Good thing I didn't pull them all the way out lol. Lucas oil stabilizer poured all up and down the camshaft before being put back together.

Still waiting on those bearing seals for the half shaft or I'd start her up.

Picked up the bearing from Honda today. Turns out they're still waiting for the outer seal.

So I have the inner seal and bearing and I got tired of waiting so I ordered it on ebay. Cheaper than napas $40 with the shipping charge. And the same part number for $16 free shipping.
