![]() Ok I pulled the oil filter housing off the timing cover. Do you do the mod to the housing itse. Or do you do the mod to the timing cover part of it?

![]() you mod the adapter housing that bolts to the timing cover. to answer your question, the best i understand oil passages can get smaller restricting flow through the filter. the filter itself is a bottleneck. this mod will create a small passage bypassing the filter thus allowing the oil to flow better under high rpm (the most stressful and important time for lubricant)

![]() And from what I see on the filter housing is a small circular thing below the part where you screw the filter onto. I take it this is the oil bypass valve? If it is what are you suppose to do to this drill it out and tap it and put a pipe plug in it to block it off?
